TEDxXiguan 2018
Take your time
Whether in China or the world, we find ourselves in an era that prioritizes speed and grandeur. Life in one of China’s largest cities serves as a microcosm of this reality.
We have lost patience, relentlessly chasing after what is “new” and “fast.” We seek constant growth—particularly “exponential” growth. But as we accelerate, critical questions emerge: Where exactly are we headed? What have we neglected in this high-speed journey? Amidst grand narratives, what essential details have been left behind?
We want to explore these questions from various angles—business, technology, philanthropy, education, design... Beyond this obsession with scale and velocity, is there another perspective waiting to be uncovered?
